Let's not sugarcoat it; if you're in this bracket you're fat and out of shape. That does't mean you don't work out, it doesn't even mean you're not strong. You might be strong as hell but the fact remains you're fat!

At 20% body fat, muscle definition starts to disappear and you can start seeing some hanging belly fat. To the untrained eye your overall look doesn’t give the impression that you're that badly out of shape. The average guy probably falls somewhere in the 20 – 24% body fat range.

At 25% things are bad; you're clinically obese. You might have quite a lot of muscle underneath all that flab but neither you nor anyone else can see it.

At 35% things go from bad to very bad; you're morbidly obese. At this point losing fat is no longer about looks; it's about prolonging your life and keeping disease at bay.

On average, this a healthy place to be body-fat wise and you may even have visible definition (when you tense your muscles).

At 11% you may see some abdominal definition if, for example, you want to oil yourself up and shine a bright light at yourself like this guy did. But who wants to walk around all slimy all the time?

At 13% you may look somewhat lean but abs and muscle definition are lightly visible at best.

At 16% there's not abdominal definition at all, love handles start to make an appearance. and there is no vascularity at all.

This right here is RIPPED 2 SHREDS. You're super lean, your muscles are popping, you're solid and look very athletic. This is the kind of physique that turns heads for the right reasons. This is what my clients come to me for. This is what you achieve on the 12 Week Ripped 2 Shred Program.
Sub 4% body fat percentage is extreme. If you're a competitive bodybuilder or professional fitness model you may choose to get this lean for a competition or a photoshoot; you can achieve that following my principles. That said, this is by no way sustainable or recommended for the long term.

At 5-7% you're not a peeled as a bodybuilder in peak competition leaness but you are shredded. Muscle definition, striations, and vascularity are all very visible. This kind of shape is achievable for most guys but it take hard work and discipline to maintain it.
The 8-10% body fat range is a good target range for most because it’s sustainable meaning you'll look Ripped 2 Shreds and beach ready day-in, day-out. Chances are you'll try find an excuse to be topless as frequently as you can imagine.

The Ripped 2 Shreds Diet is composed of three, 4week phases designed to optimise your health, your performance and get you absolutely shredded. Each phase progresses you to the next one and therefore you never hit a fat loss plateau or get bored.
The diet is carefully synchronised with the Ripped To Shreds Workouts in order to accelerate your fat loss, boost your performance, optimise your recovery and maximise you muscle development.

The Ripped 2 Shreds workout plan is made of three, 4week progressively challenging phases.
Each phase will push to the next level until you are well and truly Ripped 2 Shreds.

This plan is not for p**sies; it is pretty d*mn tough. Your workouts will consist of weight training exercises, body weight exercises, plyometrics, high intensity interval training (HIIT) and low intensity steady state cardio (LISS).

YOU WILL NEED ACCESS TO A WELL EQUIPPED GYM.
This is not one of those 20min, in-your-living-room type of workout. That said you will not need to have access to some specialist type hi-tech sport's science gym either.
A well equipped, standard gym will do the job.

Phase 1: The Kickstart
Your phase one workout (weeks 1,2,3 & 4) is well synched to your phase one diet. The diet sets the foundation and the workout is designed to kickstart your fat loss.

Your workouts will be intense and the weights will be heavy. You'll be introduced to various lifting techniques and progressions designed to add some muscle to your frame as your body fat drops off. Doesn't that sound like fun?
Phase 2: Super Charge
Just like the Ripped 2 Shreds Diet; phase two of the workout runs from weeks 5 through to 8.

Phase two of the workout is what I call the "Super Charge". It's big progression from your phase one workout. Your repetitions, rest, tempo protocols and exercise techniques change as thins get more intense. As you reach the end of phase two, you should be seeing good shape, definition and shreds coming through as your strength and fitness take a boost too.
Phase 3: Max Overload
Phase three (weeks 9,10,11 &12) really puts icing on the cake. In this phase you'll be suing some very advanced training protocols just as you diet starts to peak.

I won't lie to you; this phase is not for the faint heated -- it's pretty hardcore. But, it's all in good vain because this is the phase where your shreds really peak.
